Identification

Young people are identified through VLRRP’s broader outreach, supplemented by engagement with affected communities, youth structures and referral channels.

ALWAYS ON THE PITCH

Mentoring and safeguarding run alongside every stage.

Participants under 18 require parent or guardian consent. The pathway will align with FIFA Guardians safeguarding standards and relevant national child protection legislation.

PRIORITY IS GIVEN TO YOUNG PEOPLE WHO

  • Are victims, or children/dependants of victims, of terrorism
  • Come from terrorism- or displacement-affected communities targeted by the programme
  • Are economically or socially vulnerable
  • Have had education or development opportunities disrupted
  • Demonstrate interest, commitment and potential in football
